Postman brought a parcel with a very nice set of 37 games for the Atari 2600 in it - 26x Atari, 8x Activision, 2x Imagic, 1x Parker.

They are from a seller in Vienna, the games belonged to his (rich!?) father. And his father really took care of his games. All are complete in box, in mint or almost mint condition. No re-releases (1987/88 etc.), all are from 1980 - 1983. The only minor fault is that some of the boxes show a bit of color fading on one of the narrow sides, probably due to solar radiation over many years.

Three of the Atari games have a sticker on the back of the box, announcing that the Atari club is now also present in Austria.

All of the Activision games have the Ariola/Hörzu stickers on the boxes.

All games are PAL releases.

I already had many of those games, but not in good condition, so these 37 games are a nice addition and improvement to my collection. They were not really cheap, I think I paid a fair price for them, as they are in good condition.

Great to hear from you too Norman. I'll try to be more productive here over the next months, should have a little more spare time over the winter. Will also translate a few more pages from the old website, that are still in German, into English for the new website.

What's new on your side?

Next year's Eurocon will be in Hamburg, organized by Stephan Freundorfer. Will there be a chance you'll be attending?? Smile

Just some news so far, Dieter!

Acquired a complete Frogger II game for the Colecovision. Programmer Ray Kaestner sent me two signed Intellivision Burgertime games. Utopia will hopefully arrive soon with a nice autograph of Don Daglow.

Still looking for a complete Learning Fun I copy to close my last gap in the Intellivision collection.

I got this newsletter from the Computerspielemuseum Berlin:

Berliner Szenebezirk Friedrichshain (Karl-Marx-Allee 93a), gut

mbH realisiert (http://www.schiel-projekt.de

Frogger II for Colecovision is great Norman, especially complete. I am still missing that one. Was it a trade or did you spend a fortune on it? Grin

Your signed Intellivision games are great. Very impressive collection. I presume, you send the games from your collection to the authors and they send them signed back?

I will for sure visit the Computerspielemuseum if I should go to Berlin some day. Have never been there, but we are making one or two city trips each year, and Berlin will be one of them within the next few years. I'll contact you as soon as I know when I'll go to Berlin, so maybe we can visit the museum together.

At the moment I am collecting for Atari XL/XE, Atari 5200, Coleco and Intellivision.

I only need 8 games for the Atari 5200 for a complete collection - of course those are the most expensive ones Sad

Btw: Do you have a lot of spare Intellivison games for sale/trade?

Frogger II came cheaper than I expected (under 100€).

Most autographs are on my games I sent to the programmers. Some are just small signed stickers they sent me.

Sorry,Dieter - no spare Intellivision games so far. All are different variants that I am collecting.

Hope to meet you somewhere soon.

Norman

Very nice stuff again, Norman! Thumbup

The Illusions box looks really very good, actually mint, much better than mine. I wonder if the game also exists in "Euro style" = multilingual box + manual. But I don't think so.
