Hmm, very interesting. I have a Moonsweeper with "International Edition" on the box, bought in the USA. And you have a Fathom without "International Edition" on the box, bought in France. Weird ...

I unterstand the way your edition was released though. As this was a very late game, they probably made only one box for all markets, with English manual, and added cheap additional instructions in the countries where the game was sold. (Like they did at the very beginning - Imagic sold their US editions in Europe, as the Internatioal Edition wasn't finished)

But the "International Edition" from the US is more of a mystery. The box of my Moonsweeper has multilingual text on the backside, but was definitely sold in the US (as I told, I had two of those, both bought from the US) ...

I envy you for your car boot sales. Our flea markets are completely dried out nowadays regarding ancient video games frown

My guess is that Imagic (or better the reseller) sometimes, when they are short of supply, used the U.S. version of a game and included a segment of the international manual.

Back in the 80s I saw a few Intellivision games where that happend. They where all brand new.

Happy new year Norman!

Great stuff! I have a CIB Tapper too, but I am missing Galaxian completely - shame on me, because I collect Atarisoft. And I am also missing a complete 2010, I have only cart and manual.

Did you get those off ebay?

I got them here:

http://www.atari2600.com/

Sometimes this shop has rare items for reasonable prices.

Give it a try.

The owner Joe Cody is very friendly.I got a refund for a non-working Evolution game.
