That Sega Video Driving system looks cool
Never heard of it before …
I don't think it qualifies as a videogame.. or maybe it does.
It uses a VHS tape to play the track, and the car is on a console close to the TV so you can se the car driving in the game....
There is another console that uses VHS tapes, but I cant't remember what it is called. On that console you use a lightgun to play.

It's called Action Max and was released by Worlds Of Wonder in the US and the UK(?). Or do you mean a Japanese system? BTW, there are also some board games which are using VHS tapes, for example a Star Trek game.
The Sega games you've found look really nice. I was surprised to see that they've made additional games for this system.
hi
my latest acquisition is
a Grandstand electronic pinball wizard made in 1983
for 4.00 pounds
in box and instructions and psu
note the following
Grandstand was a importer of the game console from 1978 to the late 1980's
some box had on them Adman and alot of them had Adam imports ltd on them,
As pongman passed on this info to me.
On the bottom of the pinball wizard it has Tomy .
Did Grandstand change it's name to Tomy at a later time ?

No, Tomy is the name of the manufacturer of this unit and as you said in your post Grandstand imported it to the UK.
Did tomy import they own products at a later time and take grandstand out of equation?
as they where just an import company
I know that a lot of grandstand handheld games such as Astro war and Scramble ect was made in japan by a another company and label as grandstand

Grandstand imported video games, handhelds, tabletops and home computers from Japan, Hong Kong, the US, etc. to the UK, to New Zealand and maybe other countries. The stuff was produced by many different companies, such as Fairchild, Sega, UA ltd, Epoch, Tomy, etc. There were also other companies which were mainly active in the import business, f.e. Unimex in Germany, ITMC/Yeno in France, etc. This was a common business model in the early market all over Western-Europe.
I don't now if and how the relations between Tomy and Grandstand changed and what happened to Tomy products in the UK. Maybe Tomy stopped producing handhelds? Maybe they found another distributor? Maybe they established Tomy UK?
IIRC there was a Grandstand topic some time (years?) ago over at dp. You can also find some information about Tomy handhelds here.

New Colecovision stuff is here. Still have to check some of them. The “Sunrise” titles are still on eBay, seller is from Italy. So get them if you like.
Some guy in Italy has/had hundreds of those Sunrise games, so there should be still enough out there. I think I read somewhere that he sold many of them to a German distributor. I still have to get them too, but I'll wait until they are under 10 Euros each ![]()
Das taugt mir!
Aber mit wenig Ei bitte …
