Ron D. Moore of Star Trek fame made a relaunch with a 3 hour pilot in 2003 and a 5 season lasting series later on in 2004. It is widely recognised as one of the best SciFi series there is. And it really is. I won't give spoilers away - simply buy the pilot episode on DVD, which is cheap to get on Amazon.co.uk and get a feeling.

Seperate seasons on DVD are available on Amazon and there is a Blu-ray complete edition (including all you need) also. I don't know if the complete edition is also available on DVD - please check Amazon.
