Just watching The Goonies on TV, one of my favorite movies from the 80s (and I also love the game for the Atari XL/XE by Datasoft, great conversion imo), I thought to open a thread for your favorite 80s movies <img decoding="async" class="wp-smiley" src="/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="mrgreen" />

Beside The Goonies, some of my favorite 1980s movies are:

Indiana Jones
Star Wars (episodes V and VI were in the 80s)
War Games

Miami Vice - my all-time favorite TV series!! <img decoding="async" class="wp-smiley" src="/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="mrgreen" />

Oh, and I love post-apocalypse movies, like

Damnation Alley (ok this one is from 1977, but cult!!)
Mad Max (of course!)

Blade Runner - well it's weird but I saw this movie only 1 or 2 times, never got 100 % really into it, allthough I am a SF and Harrison Ford fan. I guess I have to watch it some more times ...

You could make an own thread for your movie gems!! Or at least a Show & Tell at the next meeting in Linz!! mrgreen

Ahhh, I answered in German. Well, it's pretty self-explanatory as it is though.

Will do a show-and-tell at meeting in Linz smile

i have only two films besides the already named films: L.I.S.A. "der helle Wahnsinn" - 2 freaky guys building their own woman with the help of their Amiga (or c-64).

and The Final Countdown about an American Warbird Carrier that is transported to the year 1942 and has to fight against Japanese Kamikaze fighters.

Also there are quite a lot of films of the 80ties i forgot and feel ashame for liking them once for example Bud Spencer films etc...

Ah i forget to mention the "back To The Future" films and maybe Platoon.

LOL!! I remember that one. Saw it in the cinama back then. So cheesy, but we liked it back then. Those were the times ….. ;-)

I also like the Final Countdown, yeah.

Edit: Bought Blade Runner Director's Cut from AtariBuff yesterday at our meeting in Vienna smile
