I would love to collect for the Dragon 32 as well as for many other "underdog" home computers of the Eighties, but at the moment, space and money don't allow that Sad

Basically the Dragon 32 is a not compatible clone of the Coco by Tandy. It was also released outside the U.K., but at least in Germany it was not sold too much. The Cartridge game library is small, only about 10 games have been released on cart. As with all British computers, most games were released on cassettes only. You can find more info here. Hmm, those are the interesting systems. Only few sold in Germany, I'd like to see a German box + manual smile

I don't have a system, but I have two or three German cartridges and a German catalog. The boxes of the games are overlabeled, but the cartridges look the same. Don't remember the instructions. I can take some pics of them as soon as I have some time.

Just two short notes on this:

I bought a Dragon 32 at Byte Back an it's still in its box. The interesting thing about it is, that the box is multilingual and has beside other languages German text on it.

Second thing is, that I spoke to a seller which had a lot of Dragon games on tape and he told me, that they send lots of this stuff to Spain and that the Dragon was very popular there.

Yep I have a Dragon 32 too, great old system!

Cuthbert in the Jungle was a clone of Pifall!

Cuthbert in space was similar in many ways to Jetpac by Ultimate.

Cuthbert Goes Walkabout was an Amidar clone.

Frogger was a classic version on the dragon, really fun with good music and very nice precise keyboard controls.

Both Chuckie Egg and Manic Miner were also very good on the system.

Head over to Worldofdragon.org and download some of the wav files there, you can copy them as audio and load 'em into your real dragon(I just burn to CD then load'em in via a portable CD walkman!).

Have fun!

Chris
