I think eBay is getting less and less interesting when it comes to buy retro games.
The supply seems to dry out a bit, but I think the main problem are the sellers themselves.
Example: The category "Atari" in PC and video games at ebay.at or ebay.de: At the moment 3542 entries are found, but from those are only 131(!!!) "real" auctions, that is less than 4 %!!! The rest are Buy It Now, 99 % of them massively overpriced.
Seems the golden days of ebay in the late 90s and early 00s are long gone.
And I wonder if the situation will change again, when all those BIN sellers notice that they don't sell anything for those BIN prices ...

Same thoughts here, Dieter!
Since the shipping costs from the States have raised enormously, I nearly stopped buying from overseas.
Perhaps the "Game Gavel" project will get an alternative to eBay soon. Let´s see...

Gruß an Dieter und alle Retro-Fans!
I was lucky enough to find a few US auctions with adequate shipping costs, around $12 to $18 for four to five boxed games. That's ok in my opinion.
Especially with the low priced US$ it is very interesting at the moment to buy from the US (also UK) … IF you find auctions with acceptable shipping costs … and if the seller ships outside the US, but that's an other story …
Game Gavel is one of my hopes too. But as this platform doesn't have so many buyers as ebay, there are also almost no $1 auctions ![]()
