After we had some discussions about how the different Interton carts look like, here's a quick guide. I'll try to take better pics of all the carts and a picture where all the carts are together soon.

Notes:

Acetronic & Radofin carts are beside the color identical to cartridge pong carts by Acetronic, Audio Sonic, Blackpoint, etc.

ITMC carts are identical with the Arcadia carts by Ormatu, Sheen and Intervision and the cartridge pong carts by Unimex (Mark IX), Poppy (9015), Conic (4a8), etc.

Palson and TRQ carts can be played on Interton and Grundig machines, but Interton and Palson carts doesn't fit in TRQ machines.

Acetronic (11 x 9 x 2,3 cm); Radofin (like Acetronic); Fountain (8,2 x 9 x 2,3):

Palson (7,7 x 10,8 x 2,3 cm); Interton (8 x 10,8 x 2,3 cm); Cabel (8 x 5,8 x 1,7 cm):

Voltmace (9 x 12,5 x 2 cm); ITMC (8,7 x 11,8 x 2,2 cm):

Rowtron (14 x 11,2 x 3,2 cm):

OC-2000 (5,6 x 9,8 1,5 cm):

TRQ (8,9 x 11,1 x 2,2 cm):

Very nice, interesting and helpful! I like especially the Rowtron and the OC-2000 carts, those have interesting shapes <img decoding="async" class="wp-smiley" src="/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="mrgreen" />

And the Rowtron carts are big. I think they are the biggest game carts (after the Neo Geo home carts of cause).

Atari 5200 carts are big too: 11.3 x 10.4 x 2 cm. But I think it's possible that the Rowtron carts are even bigger.

Rowtron carts are 14 x 11,2 x 3,2 cm.

Maybe the Xonox Double-Ender carts for the VIC-20 are bigger?

Yes, Xonox carts are longer, but not as wide and high.

I've edited the first post. You can now find all the different carts, their size and some infos in there.

Being identical means that they also have the same size and shape?

Yes they have the same size and shape, but sometimes they've used plastic in a different color.

Very interesting! I wonder how many people inserted cartridges in a wrong system and wondered why the game would not run Tongue out

Or do the connectors on the PCBs have different sizes so that it's impossible to insert the cartridge the whole way into the wrong console?

I did a quick check with an Ormatu carts and a ITMC system and they do fit.  (The connectors do have the same size.) Even the consoles look (beside the color) almost the same. Have a look ITMC and Ormatu.

BUT these Arcadia and Interton clones were marked in different countries:

ITMC: France

Ormatu: Netherlands

Sheen 2001 & M1800: Australia

Intervision: Finland, Switzerland and maybe some other countries

Inno Hit: Italy

But the games would not run on the “wrong” console, no? Tongue out

Someone should check all possible combinations, maybe we find something out here, maybe ITMC and Unimex Mk IX carts run on the Ormatu/Sheen/Intervision consoles, three generations on one machine, LOL

But seriously, at least the Interton and Arcadia compatible systems share almost the same hardware, don't they? Doesn't the Arcadia family have just an upgraded version of the Interton CPU?

Edit: Ok, found it. The two systems share even the same CPU, the Signetics 2650A, and almost the same video chipsete: Signetics 2636 for the Interton family, Signetics 2637 for the Arcadia family. Does anyone have data sheets of those two video chips? If the share the same instruction set, it should not be very hard to make Interton family carts playable on Arcadia family consoles ...

You can find both data sheets (and a lot of other stuff) here.

I think Sportsworld was a pack-in. I've never seen it boxed.

One more can be found here.

No, unfortunately the 2636 is not at all compatible with the 2637; each can do things the other cannot, and conversion would involve a total rewrite. Eg. compare disassemblies of Arcadia vs. Interton Combat.
