I just stumbled across this site: http://bundesrepublikpong.wordpress.com and I must say I'm quite impressed, Jens! So I recommend everyone have a look at it, and I look forward to the release of the book.

If you could add my site http://amigan.yatho.com to your links page, that would be helpful for your users, as it is the world's largest site for these machines and has a lot of German materials, not to mention the world's best Interton emulator :-) .

"Those indicated in the display number of 500,000 consoles sold Arcadia worldwide can not verify themselves."

Wow, half a million Arcadias sold! I knew these machines were more popular than had been previously acknowledged (eg. it was the #2 console in Australia at the time), but had no idea it was that many.

Thanks for the kind words about our blog! Unfortunately we had very little time to feed it in the last months. There will be regular updates again after the next fair in Bochum (25th September). We started doing interviews and got a lot of stuff from other collectors, so there are interesting things to come!

I wrote in the blog: "Die in der Anzeige genannte Zahl von 500.000 verkauften Arcadia-Konsolen weltweit läßt sich nicht überprüfen." This means (more or less) "The number of 500.000 worldwide sold Arcadia-Consoles mentioned in the ad, can't be checked." I'm not sure how many consoles were sold, but my educated guess is that 500.000 is the absolute max. I thought the main markets for it have been Germany (with lots of different machines) and the USA. Where did you get the information from that it was the #2 console in Australia?

From personal experience of the availability of software for them at retail, you could even buy the games at pharmacies etc.
