Look at this outstanding Imagic covers - I think the award for best cover design goes to Imagic.

These titels are really the cause for my Intellivision enthusiasm that started in 1983.

Here´s an interesting interview with Michael Becker, Imagic´s art director:

actually, I scanned every game the moment I received it by postal service/bought locally. it's not that much of an effort if you do it this way.

i really hate scanning!! i have an x-tremely old scanner and it takes ages for just a single page.

and my scanner does not make any difference if i scan stuff directely after i got it or years later.

this old machine sucks...

I bought a nice HP ScanJet - doing the trick quick and with good results.

But scanning those shiny Imagic boxes is not that easy - you get reflections left and right!

Just dreaming…

Pictures are taken by Alessandro Pace, producer of this prototype box for the never released "Wing War" game for Intellivision. Only 30 will be produced - hurry.

The Wing War boxes are ready.

Below a brief history of the box.
To order it e-mail me at alex.pace1 at tiscali.it ; they are in limited number.

Alessandro

---------

"Alessandro Pace requested for Oliver to design the Wing War box as he found
out, after a long research, interviewing almost all of the old Imagic staff,
the game existed. The prototype ROM has yet to be found but, with
Alessandro's tanacity, just may be.
Oliver and Alessandro worked together to design the box just as it was going
to be made by Imagic.
The pictures of the prototype box made in that age (and lost) were carefully
examined and to design the back of the box were analyzed other Imagic
intellivision games boxes and the Colecovision version box; finally
Alessandro got from Michael Becker the original screenshots of the game,
that were going to be put in the back of intellivision box, to complete the
work.
Analyzing those screenshots, Alessandro theorized that the complete game in
Intellivision version had 24 screens (against 40 of the Colecovision one).
The names of the true programmers of the game were also discovered and
printed.
Also the original special printing process of Imagic boxes was studied to
try to make the box just like the old ones.
You can check the original old prototype of the game (still not found) in
this video, at minute 6:02:
http://www.youtube.com:80/watc.....3x6Idp8oT0

These boxes are made as one-offs and are priced that way.

The final version is better than the first prototype (the pictures you posted), it looks like an original and shiny Imagic box.

what about these? :-D

http://www.nicepurchase.com/im.....orders.htm

(my personal website)  Found these on ebay all listed at once. I have only the Ice Trek one  I've never seen any others listed… Anyone know more info about these? I've heard they were shipped by telegames after Imagic closed.

Wow, those are interesting from a collector's point of view, but the releases themselves in the plastic bags look extremely crappy.

I have two more of these "extremely crappy" issues to add:

Unfortunately I have no further informations about those cheap releases.
