I got a boxed CreatiVision Cassette Storage Module (CSM) today and thought I might set up a little page for it. Actually it is the first boxed CSM that I ever saw as CreatiVision release. I already own a boxed Dick Smith Wizzard (DSW) CSM, those pop up boxed maybe once a year and so are not as rare as the CreatiVision CSMs, however both releases are extremely rare. The units are the same, the DSW just has a Dick Smith sticker on it.
well i suppose it's the same unit i was outbid – at least watching at the pictures. :-)
i have a boxed unit, in superb shape, but mine lacks the cassette tape – that's what i was looking for.
it's a superb unit. in my opinion it's not such a rare item as Dieter may think, but it's rare to find it in such conditions! congratulations! ![]()
Well yes, it was that auction, so it was pretty expensive ![]()
I didn't see it was Luca that I outbid, I hate it that you cannot see anymore who else is bidding on an item.
I agree that the unit itself is not so extremely rare, however it is in complete boxed condition.
I will think of you Luca if I should get a spare Demo tape some day.
Now I just need the Moving-Key Keyboard, the 16K RAM Expansion and the I/O Interface complete and boxed as CreatiVision releases. I have them all boxed as DSW releases though.
Maybe I will sell my boxed Dick Smith Wizzard Cassette Storage Module now.
I've never seen any 16KB RAM module. Do you have a boxed one, Dieter? I would like to see pictures of that: the item itself, and the box, even in DSW format if you have it.
I've actually never even seen the item itself.
Yes, Ebay masking the bidder's names is a true problem. The item was not worth what I bidded, but I really needed that because I miss pics of the demo tape. I'm sorry that you had to spend so much for it.
I'm looking myself for a boxed keyboard module, but I'm not in a rush with that, since at least I have pictures of it in my database.![]()
Dieter: if you still have the tape module handy, would you mind sending me a scan of the front, and a scan of the back of the cassette tape cover?
I'd like to make a pdf of it, and add to my website archive, as I did for the other tapes.
Thanks in advance. ![]()
PS: did you notice the wonderful South African releases on my website? I wish I could put my hands on those, some day!

Luca, I just sent you 300 dpi scans of the demo tape cover. Let me know if those are ok.
The South African CV is really ultra rare ![]()
I am still bemoaning the loss of my VZ-2000 that I won on ebay. Paid 250+ Euro for it but it never arrived, no chance to get my money back ![]()
Yes I remember about the VZ-2000 story you told me about. Damn, I'm very very sad about that too!
I got your scans. Unfortunately, even though the DPI setting was originally good, you made a PDF with JPG compression, and it was EXTREMELY high.
The result is: quality is terrible, I can't even read the catalogue numbers.
Thanks much but… is it too much to ask you to send me the original scans as PNG (or very-high quality JPG if PNG is not available)?
Thanks a lot!
