I have upgraded the forums software (Simple:Press Forum) from 3.1.4 to 4.0.0 today.
Some of the new features in version 4.0.0 are:
# Choice of editors (RTE, HTML, bbCODE)
(At the moment still the rich text editor is activated)
# Images can be used in signatures now
# Support for the Democracy Polls plugin (I have not installed this plugin yet)
# Forum statistics at the bottom of the page redesigned
# Custom Smileys (I will add a lot of new smileys soon!)
# Post Ratings (I have not activated this option yet)
# Advanced member profiles
# Members List
If you should encounter any problems please post them here.
If not - happy posting!!

The problem seems to be solved now, the images work fine again. A new smiley caused the problem, it was activated with ":/" and that corrupted all links in the posts somehow.
There is still a small display problem after a certain (old) smiley, but that shouldn't be a problem. I'll look into that too.

I have just updated the forum software to the latest version 4.1.2. It has a few new functions like "Most Recent Topics With Unread Posts" and a few other goodies which I still have to look into.
A top priority on my list is an own CCC skin for the forum. I hope to make that within the next 2 – 3 months.
Oh, and another neat function:
You can write Spoilers now ![]()

Since the latest update to version 4.1.2 of the forum software, the alignment of the pictures in the posts has changed. In earlier versions each picture was displayed in a new line. In the latest version they changed that (I have no idea why), so that the pictures are all displayed in one line – and that looks NOT good.
I contacted the support and they told me that they will try to implement an option in the next version of the forum software that allows to change the alignment for all photos in the forum together, so that they are displayed each in a new line, as it was before.
Edit: In the meantime, you can set the alignment to "bottom" for each photo in new posts you make. With that setting each photo will be displayed in a new line, as it was standard in the older versions of the forum software.
