Hello,Dieter!
Some corrections on your Intellivision list:
As far as I know the IntelliVoice games were released in Europe too. They had instructions in english only, but some stores made translations for them (I have a typewriter written german instruction of "Space Spartans" that was bought at Quelle Kaufhaus).Just B-17 Bomber wasn´t released in Germany due to the military WWII topic.
I am also not sure about the last Imagic titles "Truckin´" and "Fathom" as I have never seen any international edition box of them ever.
Activision just had "Pitfall","Stampede" and "Happy Trails" on the german market officially (each with Ariola sticker on box)."The Dreadnaught Factor" actually doesn´t work on a PAL Intellivision system, just on a NTSC Intellivision II.
These are my little additions to your list,Dieter.
Gruß,
Norman
Gruß an Dieter und alle Retro-Fans!
Many thanks for your input Norman! I will edit the list right now.
Did you ever see the IntelliVoice interface in German stores too? Maybe some of them were imported from the United States and typewritten manuals have been added by the stores?
The IntelliVoice games show us a problem with our list: Do we count them as “official” PAL releases (by Mattel) or are those just grey imports? I think if they were “real” PAL releases, they would have some sort of multilingual or German manuals, at least additionally to the US manuals. And those additional manuals would probably have some kind of Mattel logo or copyright notice on them.
Maybe we should only count games with international boxes/manuals as PAL releases.
I think for the first I will count the IntelliVoice games as PAL releases, but with a footnote.
We are still in the beta phase of this new site - I am sure we will have more input as soon as the site goes “officially” online, which I am planning for 1st September.

So Quelle not only officially sold pirated Taiwan games for the Atari, they also grey-imported games for the Intellivision? Cool, they surely had eggs

Ok, let me think about that.
Well Pac-Man was released by two different companies, that makes a reason for me to list them both, somehow.
The thingie with the Intellivision sports games is just a "label variation", so I think it doesn't make sense to list them twice. Same basically with the CBS/Coleco games.
But we should think about that how we will handle it in the online database.
Any other thoughts out there?

Hmm, the games itself are all NTSC, be it Pac-Man or the Coleco releases. Also the CBS (PAL) releases are NTSC games so to speak. CBS (CBS Records) and Coleco also are two different companies.
You also should list them for the ColecoVision as it is also just a NTSC system but you don't have to list it for the 2600 as there true NTSC and PAL systems and games exist.

Don't forget that I come a long way in working with BuckyB on the PlayStation database - that forms character and discipline
On the contrary I think you should do it the way you like as we're both right, but in a collector's list all releases should be listed on their own to give collectors the full repertoire.

The typewriter written instructions came directly from Mattel Electronics Germany.
I once had contact with the guy who transleted them (but I lost track of him).
As far as I know the following games had this typewriter instructions:
Treasures of Tarmin
Buzz Bombers
Intellivoice Games
Space Spartans
Bomb Squad
ECS Games
Melody Blaster
Mr Basic meets Bits n Bytes
Scooby Doos Maze Chase
Mind Strike
If anyone knows of other games with this special instructions I really like to know!
The IntelliVoice was sold in Germany with English instructions (I own a box with german DM price sticker).
And the only 2 games that didn´t run on a PAL Inty are Dreadnought Factor and Motocross because of timing problems during switching the memory chips (60Hz/50Hz).
Mattel correctet the problem with Motocross. But this version was first released by INTV. If you want toplay Motocross on a PAL Inty just get a Motocross cart with white label.
