OfflineI'm going to make a mini-holiday out of it .. any recommendations for cheap hotels in Bratislava? Staying there (all being well, not quite booked flights as of yet) but am going to be there from the Thursday evening & Friday daytime. Going back there on the Sunday to fly back on the Tuesday (maybe the Monday - all up in the air planning-wise).
Cheap & cheerful suit me fine as not bringing anything to sell etc.
Ok guys and gals, here are more details:
Accomodation will be in the “Wombat's City Hostel - The Lounge” which is located on one of the most famous shopping streets in Vienna, the Mariahilfer Strasse. http://www.wombats-hostels.com.....he-lounge/
We think we have a really fantastic price for you! For only 80 Euro you will get:
- Participation fee for Eurocon (Friday to Sunday)
- 2 day accomodation at Wombat's in 4 or 6 bed rooms *
- Breakfast buffet at Wombat's
- One free table for the Retrobörse on Saturday
* Please note that towels are not included, please bring your own!
If you wish accomodation in a 2 bed room (double or twin) at Wombat's, please add 12 Euro. If you don't need accomodation, the price will be 35 Euros for Eurocon participation and a free table at the Retrobörse.
We have reserved a bunch of rooms at Wombat's - those will be kept for us until 1st September, so we need your bookings until 31st August 2009. There is a separate booking thread here in the forums.
Please do NOT book the hotel by yourself (except you want accomodation in an other hotel than Wombat's of course), we will arrange everything.
The detailed program for Eurocon will follow in a few days.
Das taugt mir!
Aber mit wenig Ei bitte …

OfflineUnfortunately, can't make it this year. Will be at the eJagfest in November (Karst, Germany - I think) and again at RetroBorse (*) next year.
For those of you visiting the UK for retro goodness, there's the Retro Computer Museum day on Sunday 15th November in Leicester.
(*) can't find the 'umlaut & o' Ctrl & Alt combination, so my apologies!
